Mathematics - Number
Although this list is presented in relative order, remember that there will be considerable overlap and your child won't necessarily learn these skils in the order below. For example, a child will become familiar with simple equivalent fractions and be introduced to the written form of representing fractions before she will be able to convert decimals to fractions.
It was always my policy to interchange when talking about such maths concepts: eg, I'd talk about half being the same as 50% or five tenths and try to use all three terms if appropriate. My son might half half a dollar or 50 cents. 5c is a twentieth of a dollar, which means he'd need 20 five cent pieces to make up a dollar.
